I couldn't get any time off around the fourth so we stayed in town. We didn't do much during the day and then we were scrambling by the evening to find a place to watch fireworks. We did get to visit Nana in the hospital for a few minutes and the kids danced outside her window (it overlooks the courtyard).
On the way home we got Dairy Queen and Kingston got the most delicious icecream concoction complete with pop rocks...we were all jealous! Then we set up in the back of my car and ate while we watched the Boise Hawks fireworks up close. After they ended we drove around and found another spot to sit and watch them over the whole city. It was a good night!
