December 4-
This girl is 10 years old today!! Can't believe how fast life goes. We also got the kitties 3 years ago so lots of celebrations today. We started the day at Starbucks with Harlow (where she got a free birthday cake pop with her pink drink), then I brought her a happy meal at school and proceeded to school her friends at tetherball, and then off to build-a-bear after school where dad met us. At home we had her favorite dinner, chicken and salad, and then had cupcakes and cookies with Nana, Papa, and Brylee while she opened presents. She was one happy girl!
Julienna is a girl like no other. She is kind, shy with strangers but outgoing with her friends, has a fragile heart, doesn't meet an animal she doesn't love, and the best girl a mom could ask for. The kitties hang out mostly in her room and she loves to spoil them. She has been begging for another pet, but nothing fits into our lifestyle as good as the cats. I ruined the bunny dream with my allergies, but we were so close on that one. She adores Holly, grandma and grandpas dog and would clone her if she could. She has a lot of love in her heart to give animals; she isn't as giving with people. Which isn't a bad thing. She has to trust before she loves, but when she does it's the greatest feeling out there. It hurts me when she has friend drama and watching her learn to navigate the ins and outs of that. And she has been on both sides of it so it can be a constant battle.
She can be years ahead of herself with fashion and attitude and likes, but the next minute she wants me to take her to build-a-bear or just hold her. She cares about what she looks like and what she wears and she sometimes drives Jonathan and I crazy with finding the perfect outfit, but she knows what she wants. Even when she asks for your opinion, she lets you know you chose wrong!
She has a wonderful teacher in school and she is really enjoying math and writing this year. I love that for her. Still doesn't love reading, but that's okay. She is very creative and really enjoys art of all kinds. Julienna is crafting something at all times, whether it's beads or jewelry or painting egg cartons into flowers, she always has something. She loves to watch things on you tube and then convinces me to recreate them. We made sushi roll ups and some sugar coating for fruit recently.
She likes playing school and store and making things to sell and create. Loves playing with her friends and also just doing American girl doll stuff by herself. Her and Kingston will play legos together. She doesn't know how lucky she is to have Kingston! She knows how to push his buttons, but at the end of the day they compliment eachother well!
