Spring brings green grass, blooming flowers, and budding trees. No one is more excited for these things than Tucker. They way he mows down on the grass, you would think he was a cow. Walks are difficult with him because he always darts to the sides to eat the long stuff and then he drops it all along the sidewalk while he tries to chew it. And to make matters worse...it gives him gas....which also smells like a cow.
Then, my lily just started sprouting up in the flower pot out back and before it was even 3 inches high, Tucker came along and chewed it up. I had to put a fence around it and thus far we hasn't bothered it. Apparently he had moved on to bigger and better things....Jonathan's trees. I'm sure everyone remembers "The Great Tree Planting" of 07 where Jonathan added 30+ trees to our yard. Well, Tucker has made it his personal mission to single-handedly destroy all of Jonathan's trees. Jonathan built fences around all of them, but he still finds a way in. Last year, he would use the hose box as leverage to get over the fence and he ate a Japanese Maple (it was one of Jonathan's favorites). I usually get home first and can cover for Tucker by hiding the evidence, but tonight Jonathan beat me home and he did not like what he saw. There were sticks, branches, and leaves all over the yard. Tucker was in trouble!!!!
