We got a special visitor for the weekend...actually two. My Grandma flew and Aunt Barbara (or Aunt Barber as Kingston would say) flew out here for a visit. It was her first time meeting Julienna so of course we took lots of pictures!
Friday, I spent the day over at my mom's house with the kids. All of us girls, including Julienna, went to lunch and then we got pedicures. It wasn't quite as relaxing with a baby but it was still fun. Grandma and Aunt Barbara were much more adventerous in their polish colors (bright orange and sparkly green) than mom and I! Then it was back to the house for playing. Lindsay, Nora, and Jonathan joined us for dinner. Great Grandma taught Kingston how to play "London Bridges". He thought it was so funny when we would try and "catch" him. The kids also got gifts. Kingston got a Thomas the Train engine and Julienna got a ball with a bell inside. It has become her favorite toy!
Saturday, Great Grandma and Barb took the "Tour of Boise" and got to see where both Joel and I live. They had a good time at Camel's Back Park and eating brunch before making their way to our side of town. We weren't near as exciting and just sat around and visited.
Great Grandma is so good with babies. She managed to get Julienna to sleep without bouncing her!Kingston was so proud to show Aunt Barbara all of his transformers!
Then, we all headed back to mom and dad's for dinner. As usual, Joel was a big hit with the kids!
Nora liked checking out Julienna.
Sunday afternoon we made it back over for one last visit. We celebrated dad's, Lindsay's, and Nora's birthdays with an icecream cake!
The boys played outside for a bit, but it was too chilly for us so we just watched from the windows.
And what's a visit from Nebraska folk without a game of Pitch!? Kingston was "helping" me play so I was a bit distracted, but we all had lots of fun trying to figure out who would be partners.
We had such a great time with our family. Hopefully we will get to see them again soon!
Great Grandma had made this quilt for Julienna. It is so cute; I just love it!
