We are spending more and more time at the cabin lately. I think because both Kingston and Jonathan are always eager to come and they drag their feet to leave. I enjoy my time up there, but it leaves a lot of packing/unpacking and more of my projects are at home. Although, Julienna doesn't leave me with too much free time right now anyway!
We got a late start on Thursday because it took most of the day packing up all that we were bringing...bikes, tables, strollers, rafts, anything that we might need for 10 days of fun!
Friday was more relaxing.

Jonathan and Kingston tried out the paddle board at the river, while Julienna and I met up with Joan, Emily, Ryland, Monica, and Brylee in town for a bit of shopping. We had fun going into the stores and I ended up back at Joan and Cam's playing with Brylee before going home. Mike and Nicole and their girls Nora and Claire joined us for the evening and we had smores by the fire.

Saturday was the forth so the kids dressed their part! We had a slow morning because no one got much sleep. Julienna had a fever and was fussy all night and Kingston had nightmares. But once we got going, we didn't stop!
We met everyone at Brundage for lunch and some frisbee golf. We thought we were getting out of the heat, but it was still warm up there...especially carrying Julienna!
Everyone had already taking a chairlift ride to the top before we got there, but Joan, Cam, Brylee, and Zayden rode again with us. It was much cooler at the top!We went back to the cabin for a bit to get ready for the fireworks. We set up on the dock at Shore Lodge and had a great view!
Sunday was just a relaxing day and we discovered why Julienna was having such bad nights. She had her first tooth poke through! We enjoyed lots of popsicles to help ease the teething pain!
We also took a little bike ride around the neighborhood. Kingston wasn't so sure about the hills, but he finally got the hang of coasting. My legs were tired after pulling Julienna and there were a few parts where I had to walk!
Monday was my birthday! We had breakfast and then headed out to a day of fun. We met Joan and Cam at Rotary Park and set up my new beach tent and played in the water on the paddleboards. Julienna dipped her toes in the water and then took a nap with Nana while we went out on the lake.
For lunch, we ate at Shore Lodge overlooking the lake. It was a perfect!
And, as if that wasn't enough, we went back to Joan and Cam's for presents and cupcakes! We tried to watch a movie that night, but Kingston was the only one to stay awake.
Tuesday started with a delivery. It was Kingston's party decorations. He was thrilled when he saw the Optimus Prime pinata and plates! Now, waiting 4 more days till the party was going to be tricky! Other than that, we just hung around the cabin and enjoyed the quite.
Thursday we did a little cleaning and then went into town for a bit. We went to a few thrift stores and as luck would have it, Kingston found a Transformer. For $1.25 we couldn't go wrong.
And, we just couldn't resist stopping for snocones before heading back home!Kingston and I did a little bit of decorating for his party and he got to take a nap in a blanket fort!
Friday, our party guests started to arrive. Rob, Steph, Addy, and Emme were staying with us, along with Kelly, Nick, and Tyson. Everyone got situated and then Kingston got to have his first ever sleepover! There was lots of giggling and probably not too much sleeping that night!
Saturday=party day! It was all Transformers, all day for Kingston's special day! We had decorations, masks, a pinata, napkins...all with Transformers! There was so much excitement that Kingston stayed in his pajamas the whole day.
We ended up with quite the guest list....grandma and grandpa came with Nora. Nana and Papa brought Zayden. Zac, Emily, and Ryland came, along with Trish, Hannah, and Seth. Alyssa, Chris, Molly, and Sam made it over after naptime. Clayton brought his girls, Mylee and Arabella, and Maureen had Owen. It was a lot of people, a lot of chaos, and a lot of fun!
We did a walk down to the river and through some rocks, played in the sandbox, ate popsicles, had a dance party, played some more, had dinner, busted open a pinata, opened presents, ate cake, and ended with smores!

Only those staying with us made it for smores. I think we tired everyone else out!
Sunday was spent recovering from the party and packing up. Zayden came over to play with Kingston and see his new toys. Otherwise, we just packed up and headed home.
