Mom, Julienna, and I took a girl's trip to Nebraska for Staci's wedding. It was Julienna's first time flying and she was a rock star!
Our flight was early...we had to be to the airport at 5 am! It was a little tricky getting through security since the stroller tested positive for explosive making material, but otherwise it was fine. She did great on the flights. Slept a little bit but mainly mom and I had to entertain her. We made it to Lincoln around lunch time.
After lunch and an icecream, we drove to the park where we were staying. We all took a nap in the car and then sat in the shade until check in.
It wasn't too long till everyone else arrived. Mom was having a reunion with her cousins and we were celebrating Grandma Cecrle's birthday!
The next morning, Jamie and Julienna drove down to visit. It was fun to see the girls together!
Our next stop was Aunt Joyce's house. We got there just in time for dinner and bed!
The next morning we took a walk around the neighborhood and Julienna finally got a nap. I think it was the first one!
After lunch we went to visit Becky, Mark, and Maggie. Julienna loved all the attention.
And, finally, it was time for the wedding. We got dressed and headed out to the park. It was a beautiful location and as long as you were in the shade it wasn't too bad. Staci was gorgeous and Nate did a wonderful job officiating the wedding! The reception gave us lots of time to chat with the cousins. Julienna was having to much fun kicking her feet and arms to the music and the lights kept her entertained!
Julienna is 2 months older than Grant. He looks just like my Grandpa Niederklein and he was just full of smiles!
The next morning we got to see all of Aunt Joyce's gardens before heading to Becky's for another visit.
By the end, we were definitely ready to go home, but got some disappointing news that our flight was delayed resulting in us missing our connecting flight. So, we begrudgingly spent one more night in Lincoln. The put us up in a hotel downtown and Julienna got her own bed!Monday we got to sleep in and we did finally make it home later that evening. Whew, what a trip!
