Taking advantage of Kingston's spring break and low airfare, the kids, grandma, and I went to visit great grandma Cecrle. We had such a great time and the kids got to spend quality time with great grandma.
We took a super early flight, but my seat mate was not going to let me rest so we played and read and played some more.
We stopped to visit my cousin Jamie and her two sweet girls, Juliana and Jemma. The kids played even more before we made the final drive to Daykin. And the kids finally crashed!
We had to draw straws for sleeping arrangments because both kids really wanted to sleep upstairs. Kingston won for the first night and Julienna got her turn the next. They just think it's the neatest thing, especially the electric blanket.
We spent the next two days just enjoying Grandma Cecrle. We walked around the farm, threw rocks in the water to break up the ice, made dino footprints in the snow, played cards, ate birdies and surprise rolls, made dumplings, played Chinese Checkers, played with slime, and tamed the grey kitty with pancakes so that we could pet him.
And we thought it would be fun to spend one night in a hotel so the kids could swim....we didn't know the pool would be freezing, but that didn't stop the kids.
We had dinner at McDonalds, made tea and hot chocolate at the hotel, and then played cards.
The weather was definitely not on our side for our zoo adventure but we still saw everything we wanted too and Jami was prepared with lots of umbrellas! We had a very informed volunteer at the orangutan exhibit so we learned a lot about them and continued to have a zoo-per day.

We were exhausted on our plane ride home!!
