(Dad and me on the airplane)
We got in on Thursday and drove from Omaha to Fairbury. We stopped and said hi to my grandpa and then got settled in at Mike and Faye's house. Friday we woke up really early and drove to York to meet Alyssa and Chris. We really wanted to see their place in Kearney, but it was 2 hours away and we didn't have that much time, so instead we met half way. We had breakfast at Chances R and had so much fun. I pretty much had to drag Jonathan out of the restaurant because he was having to much fun with Chris. We can't wait for them to come back home!!!
After breakfast we headed to Daykin and filled the car up at the only pump in town. Jonathan and I were a little confused when the pump didn't have a place to run your credit card.
Then off to lunch at the Daykin bar with mom, dad, Joel, Lindsay, Grandma C, and Grandpa N.
After lunch we went to my grandpa's house and got to look at old pictures of dad. It was fun. I'm still in awe of my Grandma N's huge dog collection!
Dad gave us a tour of all the farms and mom showed us the in's and out's of milking.
We ended the day with a huge prime rib dinner back at Mike and Faye's house and plenty of talking. The highlight was my Aunt Faye's famous 8 hour marathon!!
(cousin Nate with some turkeys)
Saturday morning we went to my Grandma C's house for Easter with my mom's side of the family. She cooked for 20+ people and it was delicious. We got to see all the cousins and kids!! Joel and Lindsey challenged us to a ladder golf game and they ended up losing the chocolate bunny!!
On Saturday evening, we went to Tobias and had dinner with Elroy, Alice, Joyce, Monte, Laird, and Sandy. We had fun and Elroy gave us some chocolate covered potato chips that were surprisingly good.
Sunday started with Easter church and then breakfast.
We went to my cousin Nate's house and got to see all of his taxidermy animals. He does a great job making them look realistic!
Then, off to the airport and back home.
