Cam and Monica's Birthday Weekend

Aug. 26-29
Friday night, Cam and Joan had a get together at their place with lots of great food.  We visited and sat around the fire.  It was a nice evening and Kingston had plenty of people to hold him.
Saturday morning we headed to the marina.  Cam had rented a pontoon boat for the day and we were going to spend the day on Payette Lake.  Thanks to Monica, Kingston was water safe in his lifevest.
The boat came with a tube to pull behind the boat.  Everyone except Kingston, Zayden, and I took it for a spin.  Emily was the first one to try it and she did great.  Then, Jonathan hopped on and with the two of them it was a little unsteady; Rob and Monica also tried it together.  It was fun to watch them because they were both trying to get the other person off.  Emily ended up losing and earring and Zayden and Brylee tried to find it...we didn't find it.  Rob took Brylee and she loved it.  She looked pretty relaxed propped up on her elbows.  Monica and Brlyee also went out for a little bit, but the tube tipped and they ended up all wet.  Jonathan drove the boat while Cam went and then Joan tried it out.

We stopped at North Beach for lunch and grilled hotdogs.  We inflated a kayak and played around in that while the kids played in the sand.

After lunch we boated around the lake.  The weather was great...not too warm and not too cool.  There are some pretty amazing houses on the lake...it got Jonathan dreaming!
Back on shore, we had hamburgers and corn for dinner.  Then to celebrate Cam's and Monica's birthdays we had cake and cheesecake.  Brylee and Zayden put all the candles on the cake and even helped blow them out.
Kingston was glad to be out of his lifevest and move around
We all sat outside and took turns holding Kingston...

Sunday we were on our way out the door to church and we saw a big pile of bear poop right in the driveway!  Jonathan has been hoping to catch a glimpse of the bears around our cabin, but we always miss them.  I even heard some noises in the bushes last Thursday night when we got up to the cabin late and the neighbor warned us that the bear was out, but we still never saw him.
After church, Kingston took a nap on the couch and his favorite cousins brought him some friends so he wouldn't be alone..
Monday we cleaned and packed and headed back to the heat in Eagle.
