Wagon Days

August 31-September 3
Kingston and I were so excited for the Wagon Days Parade in Ketchum.  We left Friday evening and rode up with Monica, Brylee, and Zayden.  The kids all did great and Kingston enjoyed his first ever chicken nuggets from McDonalds.  He ate them all!
Saturday morning, we woke up and drove to Ketchum to save our spot for the parade.  We had plenty of time to spare so we watched "eh-capa" riders.  They are all kids and they ride horses bareback and with no reins.  They were fun to watch.
Then we did a little shopping and site seeing. Brylee helped me push the stroller.  She is a great helper!
After lunch and a snowcone, we were ready for the parade! Kingston enjoyed seeing all the horses.
And, then he fell asleep.  He missed his morning nap so he crashed hard!
On to the duck races!  It was our first time watching all the ducks race down the river.  It was a sea of yellow and fun to watch.  The weather was turning rainy so we had to head for shelter.
Back at the ranch, we took a walk to the river after dinner.  It was a beautiful evening and we made it home just before dark.  The kids enjoyed throwing rocks into the river.

Sunday, we packed up a lunch and headed to SunValley for a little hike.  We switched off carrying Kingston, but it wasn't too bad.  We found rocks and mini pinecones and played in the water.  Everyone except Kingston and I tried out the log bridge.
Our practice log!
The real deal!
My favorite kiddos!
A rest stop to throw more rocks in the water.  Brylee and Zayden walked across the stream.
And a razor ride around the ranch.
Later, Cam and Jonathan took a ride with Nick and Josh while we napped.
Playing before dinner....
And smores for dessert by the fire.  Rob was excellent at making the perfect marshmallows.
Monday, we packed up and headed home!
