We wanted to make a quick trip up to the cabin to make sure we were already for the snow and cold. We got up there Friday night and discovered a leak in the main water pipe in the downstairs bathroom. The floor was full of water, but Jonathan got the water turned off. Luckily, he knows just the right people and in no time we knew how to fix it. My parents were already planning on coming up in the morning so it worked perfect for them to pick up the plumbing parts we needed. It was a little tricky with no water (we are definitely spoiled with indoor plumbing!), but we made it through the night.
Kingston didn't sleep that well and we were up early. We enjoyed breakfast together and then he played while I cleaned up the dishes.
He absolutely loves the little toy vacuum and was covering every inch of the cabin...even under the rugs and dog beds.
It was such a beautiful fall day. The leaves are changing and the air is crisp! So pretty!
My parents got there and the guys had the water fixed in no time. Then they took the razor out to set game cameras while Kingston, grandma, and I all took a nap. We played outside and Kingston really got a kick out of pushing the leaves between the boards on the deck and stairs. We even took a walk to the back fence, but we stayed in the yard because we weren't sure if the bear was still out there!
The guys got back just before Kingston's bedtime and daddy was anxious to play. There was lots of wrestling and giggling before we all turned in.
Sunday, we didn't get in too much relaxing because we needed to be home in time for our family pictures. Just breakfast and packing.
