Long cabin trip

September 25-29
We surprisingly made it up before dark on Thursday so the boys had fun making Kingston a bed-fort.  I have to admit they did a great job!
Friday started off uneventful, with a lot of relaxing and playing.  It was supposed to be a rainy weekend, but we lucked out with nice weather.  And the Aspen tree leaves are starting to turn yellow...fall is coming.

Kingston was in heaven when we went to get another load of sand.  There were all sorts of tractors and dump trucks and Kingston even got to get in one of the dump trucks and honk the horn!  He was loving every minute of it.  We watched them load the sand in the trailer and then I could hardly get him out.  He was so excited for more sand in his sand box!
And then he fell asleep on the way home...it was just too much excitement.  We ended the night with popcorn and a movie.
After a special request of french toast, the boys spent most of Saturday perfecting the sandbox.  They put sides all around and then filled it to the top with all the new sand.  It was hard to get them to come in for dinner.

Sunday was my day.  I was going a bit stir crazy at the cabin so we went to town to have lunch at Bistro 45.  Again, we lucked out with awesome weather and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.  We tried to play "Battleship" with Kingston, but he had his own set of rules!

We also attempted Bocce Ball.  Kingston sure had fun throwing the balls.
We walked over to Legacy Park and Kingston burned some energy running around the sundial.

Then back to the cabin where he could tournament/love his favorite two dogs!
Monday, the rain finally came! It just sprinkled in the morning, but by the afternoon when we were trying to pack up, it was a downpour and it stayed that way the entire way home!
