October in McCall

October 8-12
We got a late start after friend's dinner, but that meant that Kingston and I got to sleep.  Although, I am struggling a little for the two hour ride up because I just can't quite get situated with my belly, especially after a big dinner.
Thursday, Kingston woke up bright and early and we enjoyed some silly times together until Jonathan got up.

We had breakfast and just played around until the boys went outside.

I just can't believe how fast my little boy is growing up!  He picked out and put his clothes on by himself. He even used the potty all by himself...that was pretty much out of the blue since we have been working on potty training FOREVER!
Once outside, he headed straight for the sandbox and spent the rest of the day playing trucks and building roads.  It is so pretty outside with the leaves changing colors and it's nice that the bugs are all gone so we don't have to worry about mosquitoes or wasps.  We ended the night with smores by the fire pit!
Friday morning we all slept in!  Daddy went to town for cinnamon rolls while Kingston took a bath and I got ready for the day.  He loves the bathtub up here because it is really big and has jets so when you turn them on it gets LOTS of bubbles.  After our late breakfast, the boys spent time outside playing and working in the yard.  They built new pathways and cleared some brush.

Kingston just can't get enough of Barney!
And then more playing in the sandbox before dinner and bedtime.
Saturday the boys continued to work on the "trail system" out back.  We wanted to go for a razor ride, but it wouldn't start, so Kingston and I opted for a nap instead.
When we woke up, Grandpa Dan was there helping daddy fix the razor.  Kingston showed him all the trails in the yard and told him all about his adventure at the pumpkin patch.  We did manage to get in a ride before dark and we had fun throwing rocks in the river and looking at all the pretty trees.

Back at the cabin, the boys started a fire to burn all the sticks that they had gathered.  We had dinner and then read a never ending eye-spy book before calling it a night.
Sunday was a quite day.  The weather really cooled off over night so we played inside while Jonathan tinkered and watched the Bronco game.  Before we knew it, it was time to pack up and head back home!
