Kingston, Julienna, and I stopped off for one last visit with Brylee before they head to Portland. They found an exact bone marrow match for her and after her last round of chemo, she has received complete remission. She is such a fighter, but she still has a long road ahead of her. They will leave for Portland on the 8th and have a few tests that week. The following Monday she will be admitted to Doernbecher Children's Hospital and will endure 4 days of intense chemo to kill off all of her bone marrow. On the 20th, she will get her bone marrow transplant and then we wait. After the transplant, she will have to wait a minimum of 100 days before going home, but more than likely it will be 6 months. During that time she will have lots of tests to see if her body is accepting the transplant. She has lots of support and prayers and her feisty spirit will get her through this.
We were hoping to visit soon, but she can't have visitors under 12 years old, so we are having to re-think our plans.
Here are some pictures of Kingston, Julienna, and Brylee...the last ones for a few months.
