Seattle

My mom planned a trip for me and her to go visit my brother in Seattle. We put in our tourist requests and my brother put together a really nice weekend for us. We flew in Friday night and experienced some "big-city" driving right away. I could never drive there with all the hills and traffic.
Saturday morning we went on an underground tour of Seattle. It was really interesting to learn about all that the city has been through.

After that we went sea kayaking. I was a little scared at first, but it was so much fun. We didn't even get rained on!!!! And we got to see a water show from the fire boat. And Joel only rocked the boat once!!

Then we hit Pike's Market. Mom bought some dried flowers, but the tulips were all over the place and in full bloom. I got my picture by the golden pig. We also saw the first Starbucks!!

For dinner we ate at the Crab Pot. It was my favorite part of the trip. They dumped the food onto the table, gave you a bib and a mallet and you just dug right in. It was messy, but so much fun.

Sunday morning we took a walk in the park to burn off all the calories from dinner. It was so pretty and the trees were full of flowers and everything was green!!

Then we went to brunch at the Space Needle. We ate in the revolving restaurant. It was cool to see the city that high up.

Then, we went to a sculpture park. I had never seen anything like it. There were sculptures of all sorts throughout the park and benches.

It was a quick weekend but so much fun!! We hit all the good spots and had great weather. Thanks mom and Joel!!!
