Zac and Emily's Birthday

Zac and Emily share a birthday and it just happens to be on St. Patrick's Day. We normally have a green themed dinner, but this year was pretty mild. Jonathan and I met, Rob, Monica, Brylee, and Zayden at Emily and Zac's house for dinner. Monica whipped up a fabulous dinner (beef and broccoli) while the rest of us "entertained" Brylee. When you only have one niece, you do all sorts of silly things with her. We played hide and seek for a while, but then moved on to driving in a car made of pillows. And of course, who could forget "Ring-around-the Rosy!!" Brylee would fall down too early so Jonathan and Zac taught her a lesson by holding her high above the ground while we "all fell down."
Brylee has quite an imagination and we made believe that her house was on the side of the couch. At first it was just me and 4 stuffed animals, but then we got all the "neighbors" to join us!! There was definitely a lot of giggling as we all crammed into the corner. Poor Emily had to sit on the vent and I'm pretty sure Jonathan is sitting on the stuffed animals.

Here we all are "sleeping". Brylee was very particular about everyone having a blanket, a pillow, and a stuffed animal to snuggle with. Jonathan did get in trouble for having the blanket pulled too high!! Who knew there were so many rules to sleeping.

We had such a fun night visiting and playing. We always have so much fun when Brylee is around. And Zayden is pretty darn cute, too!! He is scooting himself around and always smiling. However, he did give us away during hide and seek!!
