The Beach

July 14-16
We came up to McCall to get out of the heat.  Friday night, we all just hung out and enjoyed our newly cleaned windows.  They have never been cleaned before so it was a nice treat.
Saturday morning Kingston and I enjoyed a nice breakfast, followed by a thorough inspection of all the cupboards by Kingston.  Then we went outside to enjoy the mountain air with the dogs!
It is so relaxing at the cabin.  We are never in a hurry and there is always plenty of time for playing and drinking coffee.
We wanted to take Kingston to the beach so we packed up a picnic dinner and headed to town. Our first stop was to Grandpa Dan's house.  Lucky for Kingston Dan had a toy car for him to push all around the house.  We even made out with a bag of lettuce fresh from his garden.  We will have to go back in another month when the strawberries are ready!  Legacy Beach was our next stop.  We were making our way to the beach but had to take a detour when we saw the snocone shack.  Kingston loves snocones as much as his mama does.  We sat on the grass and enjoyed our cool treats.  We played ball after Kingston finished his dinner.  He is getting really good at throwing the ball back to you.
Time to hit the beach! Kingston loved his toes in the sand.  It was his first time at the beach and he walked right into the water.  It was so much fun to watch him experience this for the first time.  He had such a big smile on his face the whole time and I loved sharing it with him.

It must have been an exhausting time, because he was asleep before we pulled out of the parking lot!
Sunday morning involved more playing, packing up, and one last popsicle!
