July 24-
Today was the PET scan and the halfway mark for chemo. We don't have the results back yet so just kinda walking around with an anxious nervous feeling. Best case scenario it shows less uptake in dad's body to indicate the chemo is working and we forge ahead with 2 more rounds...
Since the last round of chemo, dad played golf several times and they even made a day trip to the cabin to check on things. I thought he was really in the clear, but then this week a rash popped up that was quite bothersome. A very normal chemo reaction but it made it hard to sleep. He got some medicine today so hopefully that will bring some relief.
We also did a family picture session at mom and dad's house. We were kinda all out of our element (well, except Julienna who lights up around a camera), but the photographer was really great at keeping us natural looking, so it will be fun to see how those turned out. We even had icecream cake to celebrate the July birthdays!
