Day 4

We woke up early and took a shuttle to Sooke. It was our first time on a zip-line, and we had a blast. There were 7 lines, with the longest being 1000 meters (everything here is metric). And Jonathan keeps reminding me that we won the "720 tree" contest. You had to spin yourself around twice and then reach out and touch the tree. I got the 720 part but no one else could get the tree. It was fun!!
After, that adventure we had lunch and drinks and then set out for a long walk to our next site.
The Craigdarroch Castle. We walked all through the castle and read about all the changes the castle has undergone. It was very impressive!!
Me and my "Canada Cone"
We ended the night with dinner at our hotel. We weren't very impressed with the menu so we didn't have very high expectations. But, we were wrong. It was our best meal yet. I had spear fish on a bed of couscous and Jonathan had double-smoked bacon sauce over steak and sweet potato fries. It was so delicious. We also had a prawn appetizer and then finished with dessert. I had cheescake and Jonathan had icecream with strawberries and balsamic. We were pretty hesitant about the balsamic part, but it was so good and added tons of flavor. Thanks mom and dad for dinner!!!
