Wow!! We just got back from a 3 hour whale watching trip. It was so much fun and there were a ton of whales. We rode around in a little 12 person Zodiac boat and wore a floatation suit.
We got to see both transient (mean and travel around a lot) and resident (nice and live here) Orca whales. We saw 3 pods of the resident Orca's as they were following the salmon up to Alaska. There were 89 total whales. We also stopped to see the sea lions. I can't believe how many whales we saw. They were very happy and were slapping their tails and dorsal fins. They would pop their heads out of the water and look around. We even saw them lay on their backs and splash with their side fins. It was amazing!!!! Thanks so much Joel and Lindsay!!
