Floating the Boise River

What a fun afternoon!! Joan and Cam invited us to float the river with them and Trish, Alan, Seth, and Hannah. Jonathan had never floated the river before so we thought we better take advantage of the opportunity!! We were supposed to meet at 11, but if you know us, you know we didn't get there till closer to noon! The park wasn't too crowded and since we were "a little" late, the raft was all ready for us and we just had to hop in.
It ended up being 103 degrees...a perfect day to float the river. The water was really cold, but it felt good to dip your feet in every once-in-awhile. We did get splashed when we went over a few of the rapids, but there was nothing too scary. There is one part where a bunch of kids wait for unsuspecting floaters and when you are close, they jump in and splash you! Cam and Jonathan did all of the paddling so Joan and I got to just sit back and relax.
It took about 2 hours to float down and afterwards, we had lunch at a Mexican restaurant and then headed to Joan and Cam's house to check out the new paint colors. They looked great!!
And then we rushed home so Jonathan could make his 6:30 tee time at Shadow Valley. A fun-filled day!
