First doctor's appointment

July 18-
Today was our first doctor's appointment and first outing.  Our appointment was at 11:00 and we made it just in the nick of time.  It's a little more challenging to get out of the house with a baby, especially a baby who decides to pee on his outfit as we are trying to get out the door. And there is so much gear with the carseat, purse, diaper bag, and breakfast to go.
But our appointment went really good.  Kingston was great and didn't even cry when we had to get him naked for the scales.  He has already gained 5 ounces and is only 1 ounce less than his birth weight.  He is a good little eater!  He got a clean bill of health and has to go back in one week for some routine blood work.  The doctor gave us lots of good advice and tips and then after a feeding we were on our way.

Kingston fell right asleep so we decided to take advantage of that and made a quick stop at Target. We pretty much filled the cart with the carseat and diaper bag, but we did manage to find room for a few more items.  I checked out while Jonathan got us some icees for the ride home.  Kingston didn't wake up the whole time and we had a successful outing.
