We took an extended weekend in McCall to celebrate father's day and even had company!
We got up here late Thursday night and just relaxed on Friday. The boys played out in the sand box and made quite a few airplanes.
We were supposed to go for a boat ride on Saturday but the weather was too chilly so instead the guys stacked wood while the girls visited at mom and dad's cabin in Donnelly. Jonathan got a load of sand to work on the horseshoe pit and expand Kingston's sandbox.
Joel, Lindsay, and Nora came to stay with us so mom and dad joined us for Father's Day dinner/celebration that night. This included more sandbox time, presents, hamburgers, and desserts. Jonathan and I taught everyone to play "Farkle" and we got a lot of laughs out of it!
Sunday got off to a good start but while working too quickly, Jonathan sliced his knee with a knife. Joel bandaged him up, but ultimately we had to go to the ER to get him stitches. He ended up with 5 stitches and an updated tetanus shot. Kingston was a trooper and the hit of the hospital. He loved sitting on the chair that went up and down!
Kingston did manage to get in a little more sandbox time while we packed up the car to head home. Jonathan got to rest his leg and I drove us home!
