Fourth of July 2009

For the fourth, Jonathan and I, and all the boys, went up to Hailey.
We got there Friday afternoon and started with a dog walk to the river with Zac and Cam. The boys love it up there. So many smells and marshy parts to run and play in. It is always a chore keeping them away from the horse poop!

That evening the whole gang came over for a BBQ. Bruce, Karen, Jacob, Sarah, Alan, Trish, Seth, Hannah, Linda, Micheal, Meg, Carter, Brandon, and John. It was fun to get to see everyone. Unfortunately, it rained us out and we had to move it indoors, but it was still fun!!

Saturday was full of fourth of July festivities. We started with the parade. This year, thanks to Trish, we had a good spot in the shade.

Joan and Cam were in it with Rockee on the tandem bike for the Search and Rescue. Bruce and Jacob also rode their bikes.

Sarah was on a float with the cheerleaders (she's in the middle).

There was a whole group of wienie dogs...it was really cute.

After the parade, we went to a BBQ at Bruce and Karen's house. The weather was a lot nicer and we were able to sit outside on their deck and watch the guys bale hay.

Then, it was off to the rodeo!! It was really fun to watch. My favorite part is the mutton busting. Some of those kids held on really well.

Fireworks followed the rodeo so we moved to the baseball field to watch. Then, the kids did sparklers, poppers, and some fountains. It was a great finish to the night.

Sunday, Joan, Cam, Zac, Emily, and Jonathan had a nice birthday celebration for me (see the next blog for more info)
