He is a chatterbox...

...His vocabulary has blossomed these past couple months. He tries to repeat you and is starting to get the hang of everyone in the family's names.  He is really good at "Emmy," "Zac," "Nana," "Pappa," "Joel","Rob," and "Brylee". Grandma and Grandpa are a bit trickier, but he gives them a good attempt.  And I haven't had good luck with Lindsay, Monica, or Zayden...they are pretty hard for him.  Although, we have a book with everyone's picture and he is really good at pointing out the person when we say the name.  And somehow, he is pretty good at the all the dog names (he must be my kid!)
...He will try and repeat words that we say, but these are all the words that he says on his own and in the correct context.
"doggies"- this was one of his first words
"da dee" (daddy)- this is probably his favorite word and he says it ALL the time.
"ma ma"- I don't get to hear this one very often, but I guess that makes it all the more special when I do hear it!
"ca kers" (crackers)-he loves graham crackers, gold fish, and saltines
"mow" (more)- this was our one and only sign language word that he says and signs
"wa wa" (water)- he loves to fill his cup with water from the fridge
"tane to" (thank you)- he doesn't use it all the time, but he says it so cute!
"cocks" (clocks)-he only uses this word at grandma's house because she had clocks that chime
"tic toc"-also only used at grandma's house (we don't have any clocks that tick!)
"o pen"- he brings me all sorts of containers to open for him
"hat"- he says it and also brings me my hat so that we can go outside together.  He used to hat to wear his hat, but now he doesn't mind it.
"shoes"- he sure loves to bring you your shoes and he also loves to put them on.  Every morning he picks out a pair of shoes and socks for Jonathan to wear (sometimes they are slippers and unmatching, but he still tries)
"socks"- he even knows his socks go on his feet
"nana" (banana)- he recognizes the fruit and can pick it out of other fruits
"a pple"- he loves apples, but doesn't always eat the skins...he just lets those fall out of his mouth when he is done.  This is probably the word that he says the clearest.
"uh-oh"- he does better with this and only says it for real accidents
"Key ton" (Kingston)- still needs some work, but I point to all the letters on his blanket from grandma and he will tell me his name (I will admit that you probably wouldn't understand this one out of context)
"coo kie"- what kid doesn't love cookies
"yeah"- he is definetly a yeah kid.  Every question I ask he responds with this (which is way better than no).  And he says it with such certainty.
"cheese"- he said this more before, but still uses it when he is taking pictures
"ha bee" (happy)- he repeats this over and over
"bay bee" (baby)- we were walking the aisles at the store and came to the diapers. He pointed at the babies on the boxes and said "ba bee".
"up"-he says this whenever he wants to be held or held up to see something higher
"a done" (all done)-when he's done eating, he hands me his tray, all his silverware, and cup and says all done
"buck le"- he always reminds me to buckle his carseat
"at"- to get the dogs out of the kitchen
"elp" (help)- still a work in progress, but he is getting better and coming and getting us and asking for help instead of getting frustrated and throwing a tantrum
"gin" (again)- he says this when he wants to read a story again or hear a song again, he caught me off guard in the car when we were listening to the new Taylor Swift CD and it switched songs.  From the backseat I heard "gin" so I played it again and when it ended he asked for it "gin".  It is so nice that we have the same taste in music!
"hi"-he is really good at this one and always answers his phones with "hi, hi" as he walks around chatting.
"bye bye"- he says this and waves
"poopy"- he lets you know when he goes!
