We did Christmas a week early with my family. We went to the children's play at church, although Kingston and Jonathan stayed back because Kingston was napping.
We went to my parent's house and enjoyed my favorite bubble rolls and some fruit and veggies. The guys enjoyed the football game while Kingston checked out all the presents. Uncle Joel was building towers and Kingston was loving knocking them down!
Then, it was on to the presents. At first, Kingston grabbed a bag and took it to grandma in the kitchen. He carried it all around but never tried to open it. We showed him how to take out the tissue paper and he really enjoyed that!
He had lots of fun stacking up his presents and climbing on top. I think that was his favorite part.
Jonathan, Aunt Lindsay, and Kingston having fun opening present.Uncle Joel and Aunt Lindsay got Kingston some styling clothes and he was so EXCITED to open them. As soon as we opened the box he grabbed the clothes in one big handful and was shrieking with delight and spinning in circles. He had the biggest grin on his face! And his little down vest was so cute on him...he will be wearing it a lot. The other big hit gift was a stool with his name on it. Kingston loved putting the puzzle pieces in. (It's been about 2 weeks and he knows where the letters goes, but he can't always get them in their space. The "t", "s", and "k" are the easier ones for him). My favorite present was from my parents and it was the gift of time in the form of a housecleaner to give us more time to spend with Kingston. Pretty great, huh?
Here he is enjoying one of daddy's presents in grandpa's chair. Even though he was more than spoiled, he still enjoyed playing with everyone else's presents.
He had a delicious prime rib and shrimp dinner while Kingston napped. Then we all played cards and a few rounds of "telestrations (a drawing game)." We had a lot of fun with that and had some crazy drawings. We finished the day with a great peppermint dessert. Joel and Lindsay had to take off, but Jonathan wanted to finish watching a football game so we ended up staying until it was time to have dinner, which was leftovers. We finally put Kingston in his pajamas and headed home to bed. Kingston was asleep before we were out of the driveway.
