Nebraska

October 24-26
Mom and dad wanted to take everyone to a Nebraska Football game, so we booked our tickets and headed to the Midwest!  Kingston was most excited about the trip to "Braska" because he got a new suitcase that he could pull all by himself.  Our trip was going to be short, but we had a lot to do.
We flew out at 5 pm on Friday evening and arrived in Lincoln around 10 pm.  Kingston did great on the plane and he even used the airplane bathroom!  He helped entertain Nora during one of the flights and was quick to point out when we were on the ground.
We stayed at Aunt Joyce's house and she spoils us when we are there.  We all got our own rooms and she even had snacks for us when we arrived.  We stayed up too late chatting, but she had a delicious breakfast waiting for us in the morning.  From there, we headed to Becky's house to drop off Nora for the day.  She wasn't quite up for the game, although she did dress the part!
We headed down town for a little taste of "Husker Tailgating"!  There was red everywhere you looked! We stopped in the bookstore and tried out a few things, but the lines were too long to buy anything.

Then we finally met up with mom and dad.

Everyone  headed to the game from here, while Kingston and I went to the museum.  Jami, Staci, and the girls were meeting us there for the afternoon.  I'm not sure exactly what happened at the game, but it looked like they all had a great time cheering the Huskers to victory!

Kingston and I really enjoyed our day at the museum.  It didn't take long before he was playing right alongside Gracyn, Emma, and Lexi.  There was so much to see at the museum and Kingston tried it all.  The first thing we came across was a maze of balls, I think we watched them go through for about 15 minutes!

There were 3 levels of fun things and it was so interactive and hands on.  Kingston cooked, was a football player, rode in a tractor, played vet, rode a fire engine and ambulance, went grocery shopping and scanned and weighed all his items.

Downstairs, he played with trucks and painted his own face!  There was a big gopher tunnel that the kids had fun popping in and out of the holes.

There was really cool water feature that the kids played in for quite awhile.  They could build dams and change the water flow and had boats and cups to play with.

The balls were another really big hit.  They could arrange the pieces and try to get their balls to go through the tracks.
Upstairs, they rode in an airplane, were air traffic controllers, and did a Halloween craft project.
We had quite a walk back to the car.  It was unusually hot and Kingston was pretty tired from his big day!  I ended up carrying him most of the way and it didn't take long before he was fast asleep.
Aunt Joyce came and picked us up and Kingston continued to sleep for 3 1/2 hours.  When he woke up everyone was there and ready to play.  Aunt Joyce and Doy made chili and cinnamon rolls (apperantly in NE those two things go together!)  We had a good time visiting and the kids had fun making forts.  Aunt Joyce even got them matching pajamas!
Jami is having a little boy at the end of January so we were comparing pregnancy stories!
Staci, Anna, Jami, and Lindsay.
Aunt Joyce and kids!
Day two we drove to Daykin to visit my mom's side of the family.  We all gathered at Aunt Barb's house and there was lots and lots of food. It seems like that is all we do when we visit family!  Kingston had fun playing with the kids and found a friend in Jack, although, they did have one squabble over a yellow shovel!
He even ventured into the cornfield to find a couple ears of corn!
It was nice to just sit and visit with everyone. I couldn't believe how quickly the kids have all grown up.  It was fun to see them all together.  I enjoyed chatting with my grandma and bragging up Kingston!

Julianna is just over 1 year, Nora is 8 mths, and Chole is 5 months.

Even Faye, Mike, Nate, Kim, and Brekken were able to stop by and say hi before we had to fly out.  We definitely packed a lot into those 2 days!
