The Fence...Part 3

McCall got tons of rain the first week in June. They even closed some roads due to flooding and slide offs. We had planned to go work on the fence, but weren't sure if it would be too muddy to get anything done. Saturday morning we were still deciding on what to do. We looked outside and it was sunny and our bags were packed, so we thought we might as well head up and check everything out.
We were amazed by the river!! I have never seen it so full. It was moving fast and it was dirty and full of logs. On the bridge in Horseshoe Bend they had a crane pulling logs out of the water so that wouldn't damn up at the bridge. We even spotted a few dare-devil kayakers in the water.

Once we got up there, it turned out to be a beautiful day! Jonathan called his parents and they joined us that afternoon. We were able to finish both of the side fences and even started going across in the back. We had a great system down and it was so nice to have the help. I can't believe how fast this project is going...I thought it would take us all summer and at this rate, we will be done by the end of June!!! To make it even better, Joan made us a great porkchop dinner!
Sunday morning we went to church and then had coffee/hot chocolate. It was nice to sit around and talk in the coffee shop...we don't go into McCall that often because we are always working on some project. Then we finished up a few things and headed home. Here is all the rock we gathered the prior weekend.
Thanks for all the help, Joan and Cam!!!
