We got a slow start to the New Year since the guys stayed up to late ringing it in, but we eventually all made it up and got going. Jonathan went to Brundage with everyone and I stayed behind with Kingston and Julienna. Jonathan had a great day skiing with the guys and I managed to get both kids ready and met him at the mountain for the last hour so that we could get Kingston on the hill.
He was a little timid at first, but he was excited. It was much easier to get him in his snow clothes this year and he can almost carry his own skis. It was a great day for skiing with the sun shining!
I bundled Julienna up in this cozy little outfit, strapped her into the baby bjorn, and zipped her inside my coat. She was a toasty little girl!
We ended up back at the cabin and had a mexican fiesta for dinner. With all the people at the cabin, I didn't have to make any meals, which was really nice!
On Friday, everyone hit the slopes again and we stayed behind for the morning before meeting up with Jonathan in the afternoon. The weather wasn't near as nice and it even snowed at the end of the day. Kingston did so much better his second day out and was getting more and more comfortable. Jonathan was able to let him go a little on his own, and Uncle Joel even got to see him ski this time! It's so fun to see the improvement, even in just one day!
We met for dinner at the Salmon River Brewery. Kingston was wore out from the day, but he managed to make it through dinner. Once at home, he passed out pretty quickly!
Saturday, everyone packed up and headed home. We took our time and didn't end up leaving till dark. There is always just one more thing to do or finish! But, it was a great start to the new year and Julienna did really good. It won't be long till her and Kingston are out back exploring!
